User experience design (UXD, UED or XD) is the process of enhancing user satisfaction by improving the usability, accessibility, and pleasure provided in the interaction between the user and the service/product.

The origins of User-experience
“The field of user experience design has roots in human factors and ergonomics, a field that, since the late 1940s, has focused on the interaction between human users, machines, and the contextual environments to design systems that address the user’s experience.” [Referenced from Wikipedia]

It wasn’t until the early 1990’s, where workplace computers started to become the norm (pardon the pun), that Don Norman (pun completed) a user-experience architect at Apple, coined the term ‘user-experience’.

UX is the process of understanding people’s needs across all of the channels that deliver the (sometimes) intangible ‘experience’.

All of our services (user research, usability testing, workshop facilitation, user-interface design, service design) are focussed on enabling businesses and organisations to deliver solutions that meet the needs of their customers. We do this by conducting effective design research, prioritising user needs, and use a task-based approach enable user-interface design processes.

We understand the complexity that is involved in reshaping business models and business services having worked through the lifecycle of products many times.
